Masks Update August 15th

Dear Church Family,
South Britain Congregational Church will be reinstituting a mask mandate beginning August 15th. What that means is, in-mass gatherings (worship service) will require everyone to wear a mask. It is with a heavy heart we start wearing masks for worship but considering the current condition and the extent at which the Delta Variant, spreads it seems the safest thing to do. Currently, we do not plan on instituting more extreme measures such as taping off the pews.  We are not requiring masks in the Parish unless as indicated in-mass, so if coffee hour would need to be moved indoors due to inclement weather it would be canceled.
In Addition:
  • Sing to your hearts content with mask on during service
  • The choir and musical guests will remain upstairs unmasked.
  • Refreshments will be outside the church after service. Masks will not be required outside; however, we ask that you be mindful of social distancing
  • Outside seating for worship services will be available under the tent. Masks will not be required outside if vaccinated.
