Laura McEvoy has been our Director of Christian
Education since 2001.She resides in Woodbury, with
her husband Bill and their two children.
Laura holds an M.S. Degree in Counseling. She is a
licensed professional counselor, holding national
certifications in specialty practice areas. Additionally,
she is a certified elementary school teacher and
certified yoga instructor. She has completed the ACE
(Associates in Christian Education) program through
the Hartford Seminary. In 2009 she became an
Accredited Church Educator in the United Church of
Christ.

this position for 33 years and is the established "go-to"
person for information about most church matters. She
capably handles a myriad of tasks: communications
and publications, scheduling, ordering, etc. Her usual
office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 2:00
p.m. Summer hours are: Wednesday and Thursday,
9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Eileen has two grown children, Kim and Kevin, and 5
grandchildren. Interests outside the office include
reading and watching her grandchildren work with and
show horses.

Jan Gregory joined us in June of 2009 as our new
Director of Music/Organist. She has thirty-five years of
musical experience which includes owning the
Renaissance Music Center here in Southbury.

Rev. Shannon Wall was called as Pastor of the church
on June 6, 2010 and began her ministry here on August
1 of this year. She was ordained in 2008 and served as
Associate Minister at the First Congregational Church of
Darien.
Prior to entering the ministry, Shannon had fifteen years’
experience as a writer, marketing executive, and
management consultant specializing in strategic planning
and leadership development. Before that, she taught
writing and was an actress in New York and regional
theatres.
Rev. Wall received an M.Div. from Yale Divinity School,
an M.F.A. in Acting from New York University, and a B.A.
in English from the College of William and Mary.
