Laura McEvoy is our director of cradle through adult
Christian education. She has been with us for 5 years.
Laura is also a certified elementary education teacher,
licensed/nationally certified addiction counselor, and
teacher of yoga. She also has a masters degree in
counseling. In relation to her church work, she has
completed the ACE (Associates in Christian Education)
program through Hartford Seminary. Laura has been
married to Bill for 19 years and they have two children,
Kaeley and Kyle. She enjoys kickboxing and cooking.

position for 29 years and is the established "go-to"
person for information about most church matters. She
capably handles a myriad of tasks: communications
and publications, scheduling, ordering, etc. Her usual
office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 AM until 2:00
PM; summers, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM until
1:00 PM. Eileen has been married to Malcolm, a
retired state trooper, for 42 years, and has two grown
children, Kim and Kevin. Interests outside the office
include reading and gardening.

Reverend Douglas Miller joined us as our full-time
interim minister on September 9th. 'Doug' comes to us
from the United Congregational Church in Bridgeport
where he served as Sr. Minister from 2001-2007. He
was born and raised in the Detroit area, received a BA
in Philosophy from Michigan State University, a Masters
of Divinity from Yale University Divinity School and a law
degree from the University of Connecticut School of
Law. He met his wife, Jackie, when they were both teens
on a mission trip. They married 7 years later and
recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary; they
have one son who is currently living in Japan.

Jan Gregory joined us in June of 2009 as our new Director
of Music/Organist. She has thirty-five years of musical
experience which includes owning the Renaissance Music
Center here in Southbury.
