| Ken Bolin I worked on part of the design and fabrication of the Hubble Space Telescope when it was built at the Perkin-Elmer facility in Danbury in the 80's. The facility and I are still there but it's gone from being Perkin-Elmer to Hughes to Raytheon and is now Goodrich. The telescope was only suppose to "fly" for a few years but it's still going strong after 17. We still do support work for it and are getting ready for the next servicing mission to telescope in 2008 or 2009. I will be there 35 years next year. www.hubblesite.org http://hubble.nasa.gov/index.php |
